Written by Tammy Anderson

We’ve  survived another holiday and with the approaching  New Year we should take a moment to reflect back on 2007.  It’s been quite a year!!  Nationally, the I-phone was introduced, the long awaited final chapter of Harry Potter was released, and  Beam Global Spirits & Wine introduced their new vision to “Building Brands People Want to Talk About” – to the tragic collapse of the bridge in Minnesota, the mine in Utah, the VA Tech rampage and the soldiers that lost their lives.  Please keep these families in your hearts and prayers.

Locally, 22 people from Nukote International in Bardstown KY won the Powerball lottery worth $61.5 million.  Don’t worry – I have all their addresses and they will definitely be invited to the 13th annual WAABI Golf Classic!

Speaking of golf, The Bardstown Chapter hosted its 12th annual Golf tournament.  What can I say?  It just keeps getting bigger and better every year! The amount of support received from vendors, attendees, volunteers, and other chapters has been overwhelming and has given me the honor to announce that in 12 years the Bardstown Chapter has donated to the Sky Ranch Foundation over:

$1,000,000.00

And now thoughts to the New Year……one of the first things that come to mind
THE  Dreaded Resolutions

Everyone feels like they need to make them, and without the support of others often times they get pushed to the bottom of the priority list and fail as a result. As a group, we have such a great network of support we shouldn’t waste it.  There are so many members with so many ideas and hearts the size of the USA.

We just need to keep Sky Ranch in their minds.

So, with that in mind, I am challenging this chapter and yours as well – to make resolutions as a Chapter.

My first resolution for the Bardstown Chapter is to increase participation from  Everyone.

So many times we rely on the same people to get the job done….and this year it’s not enough – we need EVERYONE.

This chapter has more resolutions but we want those to be surprises - for all the future WAABI Wednesdays!! (Magnificent Idea JILL)

Happy New Year to All!!

Special Thanks to Duncan Cameron for his skills as a photographer and more importantly his dedication to the Sky Ranch Foundation.
