WAABI SCHOLARSHIPS
On behalf of the members and the Board of Directors of the South Florida Chapter, we are happy to announce two WAABI Scholarships. The scholarships will be for students at Miami Dade College for one semester and can be used for tuition and books. The amount of the scholarships is $500.00 each. The qualifications are as follows;
First year student who has completed one semester at Miami Dade College with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
The student has a financial need and is receiving federal financial aid or Pell Grant aid.
The student is a resident of South Florida.
The student area of concentration should be Hospitality Management, Tourism or a related field.
The student upholds the values of WAABI and the freedoms of the United States.
The scholarships will be named in honor of Colleen Westmoreland and William J. Walker.
